CERN openlab/Intel hands-on workshop

Submitted by noble on Wed, 10/05/2022 - 17:09

We have invited Intel specialists to CERN to work with us on improving our code using the Intel optimization tools. This will be an opportunity to make our codes more efficient, to discover the Intel tools and discuss with world-class experts.
For this edition of the workshop we moved back to an hackathon/hands-on format, where participants join as groups and are lead by optimization experts from Intel and openlab.

The workshop will be delivered by a team of Intel experts:

Klaus-Dieter Oertel is a Technical Consultant Engineer for HPC at Intel. He belongs to the first generation of parallelization experts in Germany and worked on all kinds of supercomputers. His current focus is on supporting the usage of Intel® oneAPI tools like Intel® Advisor in software development. He holds a diploma in mathematics from the University of Bonn.
